Tiffany manufacture

1. First step is creation of the design:
2. Manufacturing begins with the selection of glass. We are using the best of the new styles now being made in China.
3. Sheets of stained glass are cut into sizes and shapes appropriate for manufacture.
4. Glass parts are wrapped in copper foil to assure a good, strong soldering bond.
5. Parts are organized into individual packages that constitute a single assembly job.
6. Skilled assemblers, using plaster molds, in the time-honored traditional method, assemble the lampshade or other stained glass item using soldering irons. Each piece is the work of one artisan.
7. Each item is individually inspected before it is allowed to move to final assembly. All imperfections found are marked, and the item is returned to the artisan responsible for correction. Only then is it allowed to proceed.
8. After the item has been processed through a chemical bath to create the traditional darkened soldering line effect, it is subjected to a 100% inspection to make certain that it is acceptable. If re-working is required, it takes place immediately.
9. We are manufacturer for zinc-alloy bases too.
